The PGT Mixed Games 2024 series continued at the PokerGO Studio from ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on Thursday with Event #2: $5,100 8-Game. The tournament drew a field of 89 entries and leading the final six players is John Hennigan.

Hennigan has a sizable with 6,225,000, just shy of half of the total chips in play. Rounding out the final table are Max Hoffman with 2,225,000, Adam Friedman with 2,000,000, Nick Guagenti with 1,475,000, Christopher Claassen with 825,000, and Ken Aldridge with 600,000. These six players will return on Friday, already guaranteed $22,250. Up top for the winner is the $120,150 first-place prize, 120 PGT points, and the Event #2 trophy.

The field of 89 entries created a prize pool of $445,000 and the final 13 players earned a piece of it. Hal Rotholz just missed out, busting on the money bubble when his split aces in Stud fell to Allen Kessler's buried queens. Kessler made trip queens on fourth street and Rotholz couldn't catch up. Once in the money, Alex Livingston (13th), Andres Korn (12th), Andrew Kelsall (11th), and Yehuda Buchalter (10th) were the first to fall. Following them were Kessler (9th) and Aaron Kupin (8th).

Kupin was second in chips with eight players remaining and played the biggest pot of the tournament against Hennigan. The chips got in on the turn with Kupin having multiple straight draws with a flush draw, while Hennigan had top two pair. The river was a brick for Kupin, and Hennigan cemented his standing atop the chip counts with nearly half of the chips in play as a result. The field then combined down to the final table of seven players where short stack Patrick Moulder busted in seventh place.

Play resumes at 12 p.m. PT on Friday, March 1st with the delayed final table stream beginning at 1 p.m. PT on PokerGO.com and on PokerGO YouTube.
