Isaac Haxton Leads Super High Roller Bowl VIII Final Table

Haxton ended the day with 3,005,000 in the bag and is the only player with a seven-figure stack. Chris Brewer (845,000), Jason Koon (700,000), Stephen Chidwick (635,000), Bryn Kenney (445,000), and Andrew Lichtenberger (370,000) are the other contenders who will return for the third and final day.

Only the top four finishers will earn a piece of the $6,000,000 prize pool generated by 20 entrants, and there will soon be a $600,000 money bubble. The eventual winner will take home $2,760,000 in addition to 550 PGT Points and the Super High Roller Bowl VIII ring.

The second day of play began with 12 players, and through the first five hours, Kristen Foxen, Justin Bonomo, Cary Katz, and Paul Jager were all eliminated before eight remaining players converged on a single table.

Reigning Super Bowl High Roller VII champion Daniel Negreanu was the short stack at the unofficial final table and it didn't take long for "Kid Poker" to get his chips in. He had ace-queen against ace-four, but a four hit the flop and he failed to hit his many outs on the turn or river, eliminating him in eighth place.

Play continued seven-handed for hours until SHRB VII runner-up Nick Petrangelo got his shorter stack in with pocket kings against ace-king. An ace fell on the turn, and Petrangelo made his exit. The final table finished out the level and exchanged chips as Haxton found a fortunate card distribution and utilized his stack to climb further up the leaderboard before the remaining six players bagged for the night to return for the final day.

When play resumes, Level 13 will begin with 75:00 on the clock and blinds will be 15,000/25,000 with a 25,000 big blind ante. The button will be on Andrew Lichtenberger.
