Global Poker Awards 2022 Categories Announced

The 4th Annual Global Poker Awards will be held in the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, NV, on Friday, March 3. There will be 29 trophies presented throughout the evening to commemorate the 2022 poker season, and the entire night will be broadcast exclusively on PokerGO.com starting at 8:30 p.m. ET. 

Following 26 awards being presented at the 3rd Annual Global Poker Awards in February last year, the Global Poker Index / The Hendon Mob team has upped the ante with several additional awards and new categories for the 2023 show. The three new categories include Best Comeback Player, Rising Star in Content Creation, and Favorite Live Stream. Returning categories include GPI Players Choice, Poker ICON, Best Final Table Performance, Best Vlogger, Best Streamer, and GPI Mid-Major Tour/Festival.

Three categories have already been determined, with Cherish Andrews winning GPI Female Player of the Year and Stephen Song winning both GPI Player of the Year and GPI Mid-Major Player of the Year.

Voting is currently open for the voting panel members with final nominees expected to be announced on Thursday, Friday 2, 2023.
