Episodes 1-8 Now Available from 2021 WSOP Bracelet Events

CBS Sports Network episodes from the 2021 World Series of Poker (WSOP) are now available on PokerGO.com, with the first eight episodes released today for PokerGO subscribers to watch. 

The 2021 WSOP was held from September 30 to November 23, 2021, and it would be the final time the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino played host, with the series moving to the Las Vegas Strip for 2022. The first eight episodes capture the highlights from the first two weeks of the series and include five WSOP 2021 bracelet events.

Event #6: $25,000 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller was the first event of the 2021 WSOP that was live-streamed on PokerGO. The 135-entrant field created a prize pool of $3,189,375 that paid the final 21 spots. Entering the final table, Tyler Cornell held the chip lead ahead of three-time WSOP bracelet winner Adrian Mateos, along with Michael Liang, Jonathan Jaffe, and Mustapha Kanit. The opening episode would track the elimination of the first two players at the final table, while episode two would capture Cornell emerging victorious to win his first WSOP bracelet and the $833,289 first-place prize.

It wouldn't take long for 15-time WSOP bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth to have the bright lights shine down on his pursuit for more WSOP gold. Hellmuth would sit at the Event #9: $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8-or-Better Championship final table alongside Ari Engel, Zachary Milchman, Andrew Yeh, and Eddie Blumenthal. Unfortunately for Hellmuth, his run would end in fifth place, while Engel would capture his second WSOP bracelet and the $317,076 first-place prize.

One of the few No-Limit Hold'em freezeout tournaments of the series would be up next as Event #13: $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em Freezeout attracted 720 players and created a $1,922,400 prize pool. The final table would be led by Belgium's Michael Gathy, who was eyeing his fourth WSOP bracelet. Gathy fell short in third place, as Harvey Mathews would defeat Gabriel Andrade to win his first WSOP bracelet and the $371,914 first-place prize.

The 92-entrant Event #16: $10,000 Limit Hold'em Championship would be split over two episodes, with the final seven players being led by Limit Hold'em specialist Terrence Chan. Chan would be one of the players to fall in the first episode, along with John Racener, Scott Tuttle, and Jason Somerville. Just three players remained, with FiveThirtyEight Founder Nate Silver holding the chip lead in the second episode ahead of Eric Kurtzman and John Monnette. The three-handed battle would be won by Monnette, who collected his fourth WSOP bracelet and the $245,680 first-place prize.

The final two episodes being released on PokerGO.com this week are from Event #19: $10,000 Seven Card Stud Championship. The seven-handed final table was led by Phil Hellmuth, who was in prime position to win his 16th WSOP bracelet. Hellmuth would have tough competition that included Anthony Zinno, James Chen, Stephen Chidwick, and Poker Hall of Fame member Jack McClelland. Hellmuth takes a tumble in the first episode as Zinno surges into the chip lead before parlaying that into his third WSOP bracelet and the $182,872 first-place prize.
