The PGT PLO Series continued with Event #2: $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Bounty, and plenty of players once again flocked to the felt for the four-card affair at the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, NV.

Allen Shen (9,495,000) holds a large chip lead with more than 42% of the chips in play thanks to a fortunate Day 1 where he earned more than 17 bounties. Daniel Negreanu (5,460,000) and Joseph Cheong (3,065,000) are the next biggest stacks, while Ky Nguyen (2,305,000), Isaac Kempton (1,370,000), and Nathan Zimnik (740,000) round out the players returning for the final day.

The 179-entrant field created a total prize pool of $895,000. $358,000 of the prize pool comprised of bounties, and players received $2,000 for each player they knocked out. The remaining $537,000 of the prize pool paid out the top 26 finishers.

Players reached the money in Level 12 when Michelle Chin was eliminated on the money bubble. Chin got most of her chips in preflop against Daniel Negreanu and the rest of her chips went in on the flop. The flop had improved Negreanu to the best hand, and the board ran out blanks to send Chin to the rail as the unfortunate "bubble girl".

Some of those who made the money but failed to advance to Day 2 include Matthew Wantman (26th - $5,370), Ben Lamb (20th - $8,055), Yuval Bronshtein (17th - $10,740), Phil Galfond (15th - $10,740), and Dylan Weisman (11th - $16,110). The double-elimination of John Riordan (8th - $21,480) and Jisup Hwang (7th - $21,480) would be the final hand of Day 1 after Allen Shen rivered the best two pair, and the remaining players bagged and tagged for the night.

The final six players return at 12 p.m. PT tomorrow where they will play down to a winner. Currently, players are guaranteed at least $26,850 but all are eyeing the first-place prize of $91,290 and the 91 PGT points which will be used to determine the PGT PLO Series champion who will receive the PGT Trophy and a $25,000 championship bonus. PGT points will also be used for the year-long leaderboard which will qualify players for the end-of-year PGT Championship $1,000,000 freeroll.
