It’s time for another partypoker MILLIONS edition and they struck down in the beautiful Punta del Este in Uruguay for the MILLIONS South America. partypoker brings the action with a packed schedule including the $10,300 Main Event and a $10,300 High Roller Finale, but the action kicks off today with the $25,500 Super High Roller.
The last partypoker MILLIONS South America was held in Brazil but they moved it down south to Uruguay for the 2020 edition. The Super High Roller attracted 17 entrants back in Brazil with Uruguayan Pablo Joaquin Melogno Cabrera as the champion of the event, banking $180,000. The other two players that cashed the event were Leon Tsoukernik (2nd, $109,500), and Ben Lamb (3rd, $50,000.)
American Marty Mathis won the Main Event in Rio de Janeiro last year for $873,700 beating a 439-player field. We still have to wait for another day before the Main Event gets underway in Punta del Este with a new MILLIONS South America champion crowned at the end of the week.
The $25,500 Super High Roller that starts today at 1 pm and will feature 40-minute levels and a break after the fourth, seventh, and tenth level of the day. They will play a total of twelve levels on the first of two days with late registration open until the end of level 10 at approximately 8:25 pm local time. The players start with 1,000,000 chips with a big blind of 5,000 at the start of the tournament. The last level of the day is scheduled to be 30,000/60,000 with a 60,000 big blind ante.
