Yaniv Birman Outlasts the Pros on PokerGO

The latest $10,000 bracelet to be awarded on PokerGO belongs to Yaniv Birman for winning the Seven Card Stud Championship. Birman was one of the lone non-pros at the live streamed final table but that didn’t prevent him from earning the $236,238 first-place prize.

Among the opponents knocked off by Birman include bracelet winners Jesse Martin, Ben Yu, Matt Grapenthien, and James Obst.

Ali Nejad and Nick Schulman, followed by Jeff Gross, were on call for the day’s action. Watch the full final table here:

Yu picked up early traction toward a third bracelet in a $10,000 event thanks to some lucky queens against Joseph Cappello. Chips went Yu’s way the whole pot and he assumed the chip lead for a short time period.

Gross spent part of the broadcast learning the game from Nejad and picked up on the fine points right away. Nothing could prepare Gross though for one of the hand’s of the final table.

Three-handed between Yu, Martin, and Birman, the only player left without a bracelet turned the screws on Yu and secured himself a heads up chip lead against Martin. The bluff picked off by Birman left Gross’ head spinning with a Stud masterclass written in front of his own eyes.
