On Friday, October 15, the U.S. announced its plan to lift COVID-19 travel restrictions starting Monday, November 8. Following the news, the World Series of Poker (WSOP) announced changes to the 2021 WSOP Main Event schedule in a move that should better accommodate the international playing community. There are now two additional starting flights – Day 1e on Monday, November 8, and Day 1f on Tuesday, November 9 – making for six starting flights total.

Although there is a strong presence of international players at the 2021 WSOP, the travel restrictions affected many players from Europe, China, Canada, Brazil, and more. The U.S. government plans to end the travel restrictions starting Monday, November 8. To accommodate the new schedule, the day off that was originally scheduled for Monday, November 15, has been removed.
