A very busy Day 1c of WSOP Main Event action saw the World Series of Poker provide yet more thrills and spills on PokerGO as players such as Tony Dunst, Andrew Frankenberger, Bryce Yockey, Eric Hicks, Jonathan Dokler, and Shannon Shorr all lost their stacks out on Day 1c.

Aleksandr Shevlyakov Leads Overall as Big Names Bust

Others, however, could be delighted with their progress as Russian Aleksandr Shevlyakov was the pick of the 433 players who survived Day 1c from the total of 600 entries exactly. Shevlyakov bagged 392,600 chips and is the current chips leader of the 1,392 players who remain so far from the 1,968 entries across Day1s A through C.

With lots of fun, the feature table also saw some big names duking it out for a Day 2 seat. You can watch all the action from the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas right here:

Other big names followed the Russian in the chipcounts, with Dylan Nguyen (252,400), Suk-Kyu Koh (237,900), Matt Glantz (236,000) and Veselin Dimitrov (235,000), occupying the top five places.

Who Else Made the Cut?

Other big names to survive included JC Tran (175,400), former WSOP Main Event winner Qui Nguyen (143,800), Josh Arieh (154,100), Lucas Greenwood (106,900), Pete Chen (99,700) and the 2019 WSOP Main Event champion Hossein Ensan (84,000).

Others made it through with less than their 60,000 starting stacks, such as WSOP Main Event runner-up Tony Miles (53,800), Niklas Astedt (49,300), Sam Abernathy (40,500), Erik Seidel (38,700), and Sam Greenwood (27,200).

Day 1d could well be the busiest Day 1 flight of the six, with many European players expected to join the field on Day 1e and Day 1f.
