Tony Miles Storms To Main Event Final Table Chip Lead on PokerGO

The second night of the 2018 World Series of Poker Main Event final table opened with Michael Dyer in control of the chip lead. That narrative changed right away as Tony Miles took the steering wheel of the final table. Miles holds a commanding chip lead three-handed after knocking out Joe Cada to attain most of the stack.

The action started with Dyer far in front and the field kilometers behind his stack. Dyer’s lead grew right away when he eliminated Aram Zobian in sixth place. The $1.8 million earned by Zobian is his breakthrough score and the 23-year-old now has his sights set on creating a solid career for himself.

Following Zobian’s elimination, play slowed for a few hours until Miles awoke with the power of the deck behind him. Miles eliminated Cada in a flip for effectively their tournament lives that shifted the room behind him. The Miles rail crew in support as captured through the lens of Drew Amato during the final table.

Miles won pot after pot against Dyer while Nic Manion lost ground against all opponents. Manion doubled up John Cynn and then met his demise versus the same foe he gave new life to.

Manion walks away with $2.8 million following the freeroll of a lifetime and is upbeat about how everything shook out from the Main Event. His fourth-place finish lives in history as does the cooler he was on the right side of to bring the chip lead into the final table.

When play starts on Day 3 of the final table, Miles, Cynn, and Dyer enter looking to win the $8.8 million first-place prize with $3.5 million already locked up.
