The 2018 Poker Masters is headed for an epic conclusion as Ali Imsirovic took down the $25,000 No Limit Hold’em event for $462,500, putting him in strong contention for the Purple Jacket. Here’s a photo recap of Event #5 as Imsirovic battles his way through a final table that was tough as nails.

Coming into the final table, Daniel Negreanu was far and away the biggest name, but he also held the shortest stack. The day ended up fairly short for Negreanu, as he was eliminated early on Day 2.

Despite finishing 2nd, Ben Yu is still in serious contention to take home the purple jacket as he is currently tied with Imsirovic for 3rd overall in the standings. Yu got the last of his chips in the middle holding ace-six against the fives of Imsirovic, but failed to improve.
