To get fans primed and ready for a summer full of poker, Poker Central has rebooted “Situational Saturday.” Each week, we’re taking a hand from a PokerGO live event and giving you a chance to put yourself in different high stakes situations from “Poker After Dark,” Poker Masters, and more. Then, we’ll solve the situation and give away a PokerGO subscription in the process.

Our opening Situational Saturday hand was taken from one of Poker After Dark‘s biggest cash games. The three-day “Rumble with Jungle” series opened with a high stakes sit & go, but concluded with two nights of mind-numbing $300/$600 No Limit Hold’em cash game. Both cash games played above the rim, but Matt Berkey had the highest-flying play of the week.

In an over $250,000 pot, Berkey moved all-in on the turn in a blind versus blind encounter against Daniel Cates. “Jungleman” held pocket kings and faced a decision for his remaining stack, which was hovering near $160,000. While Cates internally ran through his options while he was in the tank, for over 10 minutes, Berkey explained his play after-the-fact through his Solve For Why Chronicles vlog.

The $300/$600 hand was brought back down to earth and fitted for a regular $2/$5 No Limit cash game for Poker Central’s first installment of Situational Saturday.

Tell us what you’d do in this situation with pocket kings and then watch how this massive hand played out. For more Poker After Dark action and high stakes situations in the world’s biggest events, subscribe to PokerGO now.
