The 2018 World Series of Poker Main Event is exactly one week away in Las Vegas. As a primer for the biggest event of the year, all episodes from 2017 are being released on PokerGO. The third-largest field in Main Event history attracted 7,221 entrants and only one would walk away with the $8.1 million first-place prize.

Now available on PokerGO are the episodes from the first two days of play featuring Daniel Negreanu and Doug Polk on the feature table with Vanessa Selbst experiencing a brief stay.

Negreanu takes a seat on the ESPN table as a matter of formality at this stage of his career. Since ESPN started airing the WSOP during the poker boom, it’s difficult to remember a year when Negreanu wasn’t featured in the early days of play. Of course, Negreanu received the most airtime of his career in 2015 when he almost made it to the November Nine finish line.

In 2017, Jason Mercier joins Negreanu to start Day 1 as they start their Main Event journey with the rest of the field.

Selbst, on the other hand, has her Main Event cut short before it even has a chance to get started. 2012 Main Event star Gaelle Baumann and Selbst tangle in a huge pot on Day 1 that results in a cooler that went viral. Selbst is up against only one hand that can beat her and she faces a crazy decision for her tournament life.

Doug Polk makes it to Day 2 with a big stack and waiting for him is the electric Sam Grafton. The two establish a chatty bromance only capable in the Main Event. Polk likes to say he’s not a tournament player but his skills prove different at the feature table.

Other famous faces featured in the early days of play are Richard Seymour, 2016 Main Event champion Qui Nguyen, Antonio Esfandiari, and Phil Hellmuth.

Subscribe to PokerGO today to catch all of the Main Event action leading up to the 2018 edition. All days of the Main Event feature live stream coverage available only on PokerGO.
