The U.S. Poker Open continued on Tuesday, with the final table of Event #4 on PokerGO and the second $10,000 NLH High Roller of the series playing in the ARIA Poker Room. After Stephen Chidwick took down his second-straight USPO event, the British High Roller won the $25,000 Mixed Game Championship for $382,500, Jake Schindler got going.

Schindler was one of the first players to eclipse the 1 million chip mark in Event #5 and when play reached the six-handed final table, from a field of 67 total entries, Schindler was still at the top. He will enter the Event #5 live stream with nearly 2.4 million chips, which is nearly 1 million more than his nearest competitor.

2013 WSOP Main Event winner Ryan Riess is the closest to Schindler, but Riess is closer to online legend Ben Tollerene. Those two veteran professionals are near 1.3 million and will open their USPO accounts at Wednesday’s final table. The same can be said for Kristina Holst and Rodger Johnson, who will record their first USPO scores in Event #5.

Holst comes back just under 1 million chips, while Johnson is the shortest stack with just 350,000. High Roller Cary Katz is between them and will hope that his third USPO cash moves him into contention for the USPO Championship. So far, those standings have been dominated by Stephen Chidwick, but both Katz and Schindler have a chance to jump into the top-five today.

Prior to Event #5’s Day 1 conclusion, a few other players continued to add to their USPO accounts. They were relatively small additions though, as David Peters and Keith Tilston picked up min-cashes for 10th and 9th place results, while Brent Hanks and Ben Yu earned $26,800 and $33,500, respectively, for 8th and 7th.
