PokerGO was your home for the highest stakes week of the year. Across seven events, the world’s top players competed for the 2018 Poker Masters title. While Ali Imsirovic had already locked up the Purple Jacket, the $100,000 Main Event final table featured four High Roller heavy hitters.
David Peters held the chip lead and looked poised to close Poker Masters in the same place he started. The former GPI Player of the Year won the opening event of the series for $193,000. Only three players separated Peters from a series-ending victory and $1.15 million, but one of those players was Dan Smith.
The high stakes legend returned just behind Peters on the leaderboard and Smith was looking for his first High Roller Triple Crown title. Koray Aldemir was on the same search. The German pro finished 2nd to Ali Imsirovic in the penultimate $50,000 No Limit Hold’em event. Aldemir was also trying to keep the $100K Main Event title in German possession, after Steffen Sontheimer won in 2017.
Bryn Kenney entered the final table as the low stack and had an uphill climb to win his second-career Poker Masters title.
A complete list of the final table chip counts is provided below:
- Dan Smith – 2,030,000
