While most people spent the summer submerged in PokerGO live streams and event replays of World Series of Poker events, tons of original content also debuted on poker’s premier subscription platform. That original content is available on-demand and after the first of many new Pokerography episodes dropped earlier this summer, the rollout continues with three more this week.

Pokerography gives fans a unique look into the lives of poker’s biggest names and two-time World Poker Tour champion Nick Schulman is the focus of the newest Pokerography episode. Over the last decade, Schulman has proven to be one of the world’s best all-around players, from high stakes cash games, to tournaments and even mixed games.

Poker and cards were not the Bobby’s Room regular’s first foray into the gambling world though. The New Yorker got his start in a local pool hall when he was just a teenager but by the time he was 18-years-old, Schulman began searching for a new passion. He was then led to poker and the rest, as they say, is history.

From New York City home games, to online poker and then the live arena, the poker natural quickly rose the stakes and at 21-years-young, Schulman won his first WPT title for $2.1 million. After his first achievement, Schulman continued his battle with depression, which began during his childhood, and in the span of a year, he was left rebuilding from scratch.

That rebuilding process taught Schulman how to play the game at the next level and it led to even more success, including two WSOP victories in 2009 and 2012. Schulman then continued his climb, albeit to another mountaintop, television commentary.
