Paul Volpe Wins WSOP Bracelet #3 on PokerGO

The third consecutive multiple bracelet winner to win on PokerGO this summer is a face well familiar to poker fans. Paul Volpe finished the job he started to win his third career World Series of Poker bracelet in the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or better event. Volpe started the final table as one of the top stacks and would not be stopped on his way to his first trip into the winner’s circle since 2016.

Eli Elezra stood in as the primary challenger to Volpe. The former bracelet winner and WPT Champions Club member built on his chip lead at the start of the final table to put pressure on his opponents.

Elezra brought played down to heads up between him and Volpe thanks to a timely river card versus Adam Coats. The only player left among the final three looking for a first bracelet, Coats missed heads up play by a slim margin as Elezra one an unlikely pot.

A brutal river means the big names are squaring off for the bracelet.

Other players to fall before heads up play include former $10,000 O8 runner-up Kyle Miaso, and bracelet winners Vyacheslav Zhukov along with Robert Mizrachi.

Volpe took a quick lead in heads up play versus Elezra and never looked back. The cards were distributed in Volpe’s direction for the whole final table and they wound their way to Volpe once again with the tournament on the line.

The bracelet along with a third-place finish in the $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty means Volpe is second in the WSOP Player of the Year race behind $100,000 High Roller silver medalist Elio Fox.
