Kassela Crushes Dolly's Game Debut

Dolly’s Game returned to PokerGO this week with a five-game rotation of high stakes action. The Godfather of Poker headlined both $50,000 buy-in sessions, along with a mix of new and old school Mixed Game legends. A handful of players made their Dolly’s Game debuts, including former WSOP Players of the Year Frank Kassela and Mike Gorodinsky.

While Gorodinsky’s facial hair and his competitive Bobby’s Room relationship with Brunson drew the headlines, the other POY was the week’s biggest winner. Kassela marked his Dolly’s Game debut with back-to-back profitable sessions, including a massive win in Tuesday’s finale.

Kassela got Tuesday’s session started with some early action against Dolly himself. The two tangled in a Stud hand that started with big pairs and immediately, Kassela made trips. Brunson simultaneously made two pair and while neither improved over the next few streets, the pot ballooned to almost $30,000.

The biggest pot of Monday’s Dolly’s Game opener also featured seven cards. This Stud showdown featured the other WSOP Player of the Year, who got there to end Monday’s session in the black.

While Eli Elezra isn’t a WSOP Player of the Year, the three-time bracelet winner is a legendary high stakes Mixed Game player. Elezra made his Dolly’s Game debut, but PokerGO viewers are already familiar with the Poker After Dark favorite.
