Most American casinos don’t bother with a dress code while many European casinos prefer for their patrons to bit more polished. The PokerStars WPT MonteDam Swing visits the Monte Carlo Hotel & Resort and the Holland Casino – both of which require players to ditch the sandals, jogging pants and hoodie look.

The Monte Carlo Resort doesn’t have a list of banned items, but states the following on their website: “There is no specific dress code but bear in mind that this casino is part of a luxury resort. No military or religious uniforms allowed.”

Monte Carlo is among the most glamorous and exclusive gaming destinations in the world and most patrons dress as such. While a Bond-esque tuxedo isn’t required, a pair of pants (not jeans), a collared shirt and leather shoes will get you places you need to go.

The Holland Casino is a bit stricter with a list of banned items that include baggy jeans, hooded sweatshirts, clothing with offensive lyrics, sportswear shorts and sleeveless shirts for men. A complete list can be found on their site.
