After an off day on Super Bowl Sunday, the U.S. Poker Open returns to PokerGO today to crown another winner. Daniel Negreanu is near the top of the Event #3 leaderboard, with five players standing between him and the $25K High Roller title. The public think Negreanu is the favorite to claim his first USPO victory today, but he’ll have to get through a world-class lineup to do so.

Negreanu enters the final table just off Keith Tilston’s pace. The “cash crusher” leads the way with 1,743,000, while Negreanu comes back at 1.7 million. Jake Schindler, who is one of the most successful players in ARIA High Roller history, returns just shy of 1 million, while Stephen Chidwick, Seth Davies, and Brent Hanks make up the bottom-half of the leaderboard. A complete list of the remaining players, their seating assignments, and chip counts is provided below:

  1. Brent Hanks – 213,000
  2. Daniel Negreanu – 1,700,000
  3. Jake Schindler – 999,000
  4. Seth Davies – 335,000
  5. Keith Tilston – 1,734,000
  6. Stephen Chidwick – 519,000

With a bigger buy-in than the first two USPO events, it makes sense that Monday’s $25,000 High Roller final table will shake up the USPO Championship standings. Over $1 million is up for grabs, meaning that the all three Event #3 podium finishers will vault into the top-five of the USPO trophy race.

A list of the remaining Event #3 payouts is provided below:

  1. $374,000
  2. $242,000
  3. $165,000
  4. $110,000
  5. $88,000
  6. $66,000

A deep final table table run could put “Kid Poker” in pole position heading into the homestretch of the USPO. That stretch includes the $25,000 Mixed Game Championship, which begins Monday and returns to crown a champion on PokerGO on Tuesday. Before we look ahead to the rest of the U.S. Poker Open though, Event #3 must play to a winner.
