The 2020 World Series of Poker Online on GGPoker continued on Saturday with the conclusion of Event #48: $1,500 MILLIONAIRE MAKER that was down to the final table of nine players from the 6,299-entrant field. Canada’s Daniel Dvoress would defeat Brazil’s Caio “Ez4ENCE” De Almeida heads-up to capture his first WSOP bracelet and $1,489,289 first-place prize.

After taking nearly a week-long break, the final nine players were all guaranteed $107,671 in prize money, while all eyes were on the coveted WSOP bracelet and $1,489,289 in first-place prize money. Aneris Adomkevicius would be the first to fall when his ace-king lost to Alejandro Caridad’s pocket nines. Tomasz Cybulski quickly followed in eighth-place when his ace-six couldn’t outdraw the pocket sevens of Michael Nugent as seven players headed into the first break.

Anatoly Filatov found a double, and then eliminated Ronny Kaiser in seventh winning a flop holding ace-jack to Kaiser’s pocket sevens. Chip leader Dvoress then scored his first elimination of the final table when his jack-six outdrew Neville Endo Costa’s ace-eight. Following a second break, Dvoress began his run back up the leaderboard. Firstly, Dovress eliminated Caridad when his pocket eights held up against Caridad’s queen-jack to exit in fifth. Nugent was then all in holding ace-deuce against Dvoress’ five-four, and Dvoress flopped two pair and then improved to a full house on the river.

Filatov was the next to be eliminated when he was all in holding ace-king against Dvoress’ pocket-fives. The board bricked out for the partypoker pro, and Dvoress entered heads-up play holding slightly better than a four-to-one chip advantage over Caio De Almeida. On the second hand of heads-up play, De Almedia shoved the button with king-eight and Dvoress called holding king-queen. The board bricked out for De Almeida, and he exited in second place, while Dvoress was crowned the Event #48 champion.
