Australian Poker Open & Super High Roller Bowl Australia Come to PokerGO

Today, Poker Central announced further expansion of its premier poker events to Australia, with the creation of Super High Roller Bowl Australia and the Australian Poker Open, slated for January 2020.

The Australian Poker Open will begin on January 25th and continue through February 1, while Super High Roller Bowl Australia will take place on February 2nd and run for three days.

Both events will stream exclusively on PokerGO, Poker Central’s OTT streaming service, and will take place at The Star Gold Coast in Broadbeach, Queensland. The two high roller events will be held in partnership with the World Poker Tour®, which held its first-ever Australian tour stop at The Star Gold Coast in October.

The Super High Roller Bowl and Poker Open events are Poker Central owned and operated tournaments that are growing in international footprint. Following the expansion of the formats to the United Kingdom earlier this year, along with previous tournaments in China, Poker Central is meeting the demand for high-end poker events across the globe for players and viewers alike.

The Australian Poker Open will have a total of seven different events over eight days, with buy-ins ranging from $10,000 – $100,000 in varying poker formats, including No Limit Hold’em, and Pot Limit Omaha. The player who earns the most High Roller of the Year points during the series will be named the Australian Poker Open Champion and will receive the first-ever Australian Poker Open trophy.

Super High Roller Bowl Australia is a three-day event with a buy-in of $250,000 and includes a single re-entry option. In addition to the multimillion-dollar first place prize, the event’s winner will receive the custom-designed Super High Roller Bowl Australia championship ring. As is customary across other Poker Central high roller events, the first on-time entry in all events will be rake-free.
