Ali Imsirovic Leads The Final Table of Event: #4 $15,000 No-Limit Hold’em

The fourth event of the PokerGO Cup is down to the final table, and for the second time in three days, Ali Imsirovic heads into the final table with the chip lead, but Alex Foxen is hot on his heels. Joining Foxen and Imsirovic at the final table are Mo Rahim, David Coleman, Daniel Weinand, and Jordan Cristos.

After trading wins in Events one and two, respectively, Foxen and Imsirovic head into the final table stream with 67 percent of the chips in play between them and are looking to vault back into the player of the series points lead. Event: #3 winner Dylan Linde currently sits atop the standings with 255 points, and Imsirovic will need a fourth-place or better finish to move into first, while Foxen will need to finish third or better. Coleman, who finished fourth in Event: #1, Weinand, who finished eighth in Event: #2, Cristos, who finished fifth in Event: #1, and Rahim, who finished fourth in Event: #2, will need to win the event to take the lead.

The fourth event of the inaugural PokerGO Cup, and the first $15,000 buy-in, drew 50 entrants and created a prize pool of $750,000, with the winner taking home $240,000. The final six players are guaranteed at least $45,000, but all eyes are on the first-place prize.

Stephen Chidwick was the first player to fall in the money when he ran his ace-queen into the ace-king of Foxen for a 1.5 million chip pot mear hands after the bubble burst. Foxen opened to 30,000, and Chidwick moved all-in on the button for close to 500,000 in chips. Foxen called and flopped top two pair, but Chidwick had outs to broadway. The turn and river bricked out, and Chidwick was eliminated in eighth place. About ten minutes later, Eric Worre would fall in seventh place when his king-ten ran into the pocket fours of Imsirovic for his last 195,000. Imsirovic flopped a set, and Worre headed to the rail in seventh place after navigating a short stack throughout bubble play.

Jason Koon followed up his second-place finish in Event: #2 with a deep run in Event: #4 but would finish on the outside looking in when he ran his last 65,000 into the pocket queens of Rahim to burst the money bubble. Koon was in the big blind for half his stack and had a chance at the triple up after Rahim opened to 70,000 and Imsirovic 3-bet to 180,000. Koon called with ten-four of hearts, but Rahim flopped a set, and Koon was eliminated. Other notables to finish just off the money included Bill Klein, Sean Perry, Sergio Aido, and Nick Petrangelo.
