Ali Imsirovic leads the final table of Event #2: $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em and holds an over one million chip lead over Matas Cimbolas and Dylan Linde. Joining the three chip leaders at the final table are Jason Koon, Frank Funaro, and Mo Rahim. Koon heads into the final table with just three big blinds, while Funaro isn’t that far ahead with only five.

Imsirovic vaulted into the chip lead late in the final level of play when his pair of threes bested the ace-high of Rahim for over a one million chip pot as the night was tailing to a close.

The second event of the inaugural PokerGO Cup saw 61 entrants and created a prize pool of $610,000, with the winner taking home $183,200, while the final six players are all guaranteed at least $36,600.

Sam Soverel was the first member of the final table to fall when his pocket aces were cracked by the eight-five of Cimbolas in a blind vs. blind pot. Cimbolas flopped trips and turned a full house to eliminate Soverel in seventh place.

Nearly an hour prior, Daniel Weinand fell in eighth place when he ran his ace-queen in the ace-king of Imsirovic. Weinand appeared to be on the verge of a double-up as he flopped and turned a queen for trips, but Imsirovic made a flush on the river to send the Canadian home.

Marius Gierse was the first player to finish in the money as he navigated a short stack for most of the bubble play but eventually fell when he moved all-in hold queen-jack against the pocket kings of Soverel. Gierse flopped a flush draw but could not run down Soverel’s kings.

The bubble itself last for over an hour, and it would be Sergio Aido that would find himself on the outside looking in when his ace-nine was best by the queen-three of Rahim. Rahim turned a pair of threes, and Aido was eliminated in 10th place to burst the event #2 money bubble. Other notables to finish just outside the money included Cary Katz, Chris Brewer, Bill Klein, and Jake Daniels.
