Las Vegas, NV (November 5, 2021) — The $50,000 buy-in PokerGO Tour® Championship is set for December and will showcase the game’s highest talent as they compete in the final event of the tour’s inaugural season. The culmination of the first-ever season of the PokerGO Tour presented by Guaranteed Rate takes place starting Monday, December 20, 2021, at the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
The two-day tournament has a $50,000 buy-in and allows players a single re-entry. For one-time registrants, a $1,000 appearance fee and zero rake are on offer for the PokerGO Tour Championship. Those that register before tournament start time will receive the $1,000 appearance fee and their full $50,000 will go into the prize pool.
“PokerGO is honored to host the game’s most elite players for the PokerGO Tour Championship in December,” said Mori Eskandani, President of PokerGO. “With the $50,000 buy-in tournament to be live streamed from inside the state-of-the-art PokerGO Studio, the PGT Championship looks to draw the attention of poker fans everywhere. We have showcased several deserving champions throughout the year, and we look forward to celebrating the winner of the PokerGO Tour Championship and PokerGO Tour Player of the Year as we conclude an outstanding first season of the tour.”
The PGT Championship caps off an incredible opening year for the tour. Coming at the tail end of several high-stakes buy-in poker tournaments in Las Vegas during the month of December, the PGT Championship will be the final chance for players to earn PokerGO Tour leaderboard points in hopes of being crowned the overall tour champion and winning one of the leaderboard prizes. The top performer as ranked by the PokerGO Tour presented by Guaranteed Rate leaderboard will earn the Player of the Year title and be awarded a $200,000 prize. The winner will also have their name etched on the Guaranteed Rate Cup. Additional cash prizes of $100,000 and $50,000 will go to the players finishing in second and third place, respectively.
